50 plus, maintenance free, living complex to be built in Cormack.

Looking for community members who would be interested in a 50 plus, maintenance free, living complex to be built in Cormack.  We will not be offering nursing to our tenants, you must be able to live independently, couple or singles are welcome! We are looking to build 12 units to start, each unit with kitchen, 1 bedroom, full bathroom with laundry, living room (each apartment will be approx. 600 sq ft).  Each unit will have access to a deck and private entrance and parking.  There will be a common area in the middle of the complex for residents use as well.

We are hoping to start the building process fall of 2010, spring of 2011, with completion tentatively expected for Fall 2011.

If you feel this would be an asset to our community or yourself, we would love to hear from you with your feedback and questions.  If you could also let us know what you feel would be a reasonably rent which you would pay for such a facility!  Please forward all your questions or comments to trevorje@telus.net!

We look forward to hearing from you!!

Garbage Collection

It has come to the Town's attention that a number of residents have been disposing of their garbage in shopping bags. Please be advised that we do not collect garbage disposed in such a manner. Standard size garbage bags are required. Regular garbage collection occurs on Thursdays, unless otherwise noted.

Did you know? The Town of Cormack has a new Municipal Plan and Development Regulations, effective since November 23, 2007. You may view them at the council office.

Planning a building project?

Before you start building, remember to contact the town for a permit. While some applications can be processed very quickly, some others must be referred to other agencies - so think ahead and plan your project to include enough time to do the necessary paper work.
